Grating LHD
F960160100Steel
Used in industrial applications as transformer platforms, offshore oil & natural gas drilling rigs requiring low hole density to limit the amount of oxygen and thus starve the source of the fire. Also used in public areas such as balconies. Tested and approved by SP Borås 2015. Safety grating Type LHD® is applied where a slip resistant and flame retardant surface is required - often on oil and gas rigs and trafo stations. Several tests proves that steel filters with LHD® gratings extinguishes oil fires significantly faster than traditional stone filters of macadam, pitl and stone. The surface pattern has less than five percent of air passage.

Safety gratings Type LHD® ( Low Hole Density ) are characterised by lesser holes (less than 5% air flow). Type LHD® is applied where slip resistance and flame retardance are required - often as heat shielding on rigs and flooring at trafo stations. Safety gratings Type LHD® is tested and approved by it's ability to retard the penetration of flame and is used on offshore oil platforms around the world. Comprising of 7mm dia punched raised and depressed holes, in 3mm thick material. This punched profile is heel friendly with good slip resistance and very low visual transparency of 3-5%. Manufactured in various combinations in relation to: - width, height, length and profile. Supplied combined together as welded modules for easy fitting or individually to sub-contractors if preferred.
